IOC Decision

Well, I'm a bit saddened to hear that Chicago will not be hosting the 2016 Olympics. While Rio is certainly trendy and diverse, I will not endure a another 14-hour plane ride (did that in 1999 on my South American Immersion trip) to attend the Opening Ceremonies. I *would* have sacrificed all to attend the Opening Ceremonies if Chicago hosted the games!

Oh well, in the words of Cubs and Notre Dame Football fans everywhere, "Maybe next time!"

And yes, I'm lightly blogging on my lunch hour. My "lunch hour" is defined as the length of time it takes to microwave processed soup products and inhale them without choking. :)
