Quote Journal: Humility

One of my friends brought it to my attention that I haven't blogged much about Lent. She liked my Advent posts and thought it weird that I have not shared any Lenten wisdom.

In short, I guess it's because I've been moving forward through my own personal haze of uncertainty and fear. My whole life seems like one big sacrifice right now and it's testing my faith in the most fundamental ways. I'm too worried about my survival to focus on my usual, small Lenten sacrifices. Who cares about candy when you're trying to put your entire existence in God's hands? This probably isn't spiritually healthy, but alas, I just keep swimming. The fact that I keep getting up in the morning better be a testament to my faith!

Just kidding. Well, sort of.
