This is my favorite picture from the ND v Stanford game. After sitting/standing/running in the pouring rain for upwards of 5 hours, I love this shot of the band director stretched out in a triumphant director-pose, orchestrating the thunderous sounds of the Notre Dame band while the students stormed the field. I stormed the field once, my freshman year, and it brought back all those memories.
The rain (oh, the rain) came down harder and harder as the microseconds ticked by. Rivers of water flushed down the stairs, further saturating our socks and shoes.
But it was utterly, completely worth it. A huge win in overtime...
