Perhaps because I don't live in the real world but... If said professional nurse was awesome at her job and took great care with her patients and their families, why does it matter if her hair is pink? I get the whole "professional decorum" thing but, as a past and future patient in a hospital, I don't care what the people taking care of me look like as long as I'm being taking care of well. Frankly, I find the doctors that come in with their expensive Italian shoes and manicured nails to be way more offensive. I'm just saying :)
