I just love the Olympics and am very happy they've again descended on prime time television. It's my favorite sporting 'event' after ND football and the US Open. The Olympics is so inspiring to me. Olympians trade hard physically, emotionally, and psychologically to excel in their sports. They're often young and lived their whole lives to perform among the world's best. They're on stage in front of at least 100 million people and often have a few minutes (or seconds) to separate themselves from the pack and make history. Too, they often suffer heartache, loss, and suffering before really hitting the gold (pun intended).
This realization belittles the scruitiny I feel that I'm under and makes it seem less severe!
Olympians truly remind me of bouncy balls....it only matters how high you bounce after you hit rock bottom.
