It's STILL Not Lent!

The Lenten discussion surfaced in another meeting this morning! It hits my funny bone, because there truly is an underlying Catholic identity in the place. Sometimes you have to wonder! But it does turn up in the most random places.

The same rambunctious guy was in the meeting this morning and coincidentally, he led prayer. He did the usual, "Dear Father, guide our actions, our wills, and help our hearts to know You, etc." Then he ended it with "HAPPY EASTER, HE IS RISEN!"

Those of us in the 'Lenten' meeting on Tuesday instantly broke out into gut-splitting belly laughs. We then joked that it's always Lent at St. Fozzie's because we're always being asked to give something up (we have serious budgetary constraints).

The meeting progressed as per the norm until Rambunctious Guy told a story about a local storeowner. This storeowner runs a magic tricks store on the south side. Me and my innuendos, I thought he meant "magic" store, you know, in adult terms! But no, it was actually a magic store where you can buy tricks, party favors, costumes, etc. Until Rambuctious Guy goes on to say that the magic store burned down and the owner temporary set up shop in a strip joint. We're all like, "strip joint?!"

He quickly corrected himself by yelling, "STRIP MALL! STRIP MALL!"
